It's so easy to be inspired by fine art! I love going to museums all over the world and browsing classic works. One of my favorites is Henri Matisse, a modern artist in the early 20th century. His early paintings were classic impressionist style still lifes but eventually he began simplifying and flattening forms. He also had a famous series of collage works that used cutout shapes in abstract forms.
Man Ray was also a modern artist, known to be more abstract and surreal. He did paintings as well as photography.
The following pieces I created with inspiration from both artists, drawing from their studies of the female form and especially the cutout collages from Matisse. Can you see the inspiration within these pieces? Shop them by clicking the link below to view the entire Art Collection.
