On January 20, 2021 I was playing with my sapphires on my bench, inspired by the bright colors and wondering how to combine them. I thought of the colors of a scarlet macaw, a bright tropical parrot with striking colors of red, blue, green and yellow. Then, poet Amanda Gorman appeared on my TV and read her poem, "The Hill We Climb". She was dressed (in Prada) in a bright yellow coat with a red headband and stood against the presidential blue backdrop. I had to make these earrings!
Pink and yellow sapphires and a blue kyanite drop complete this look, steadied by a strong chain spine. Available in sterling silver and 14k gold-filled, they dangle approx. 1 3/4" tall. I hope you love them as much as I do!
